August Update

It's been a few weeks since we've posted, but life is moving quickly right now...

Carlos and I are back in Texas until mid September. We're seeing our family, hoping to make time to see friends and planning for the next year in Barcelona. However, the big news is that we're now married! We had a simple and beautiful ceremony in Carlos' backyard, followed by a great dinner and a messy party back at the house....:) Though the wedding was very small and attended by only immediate family, we hope to have a real party next year when we return from Barcelona.

Barcelona after Spain wins the Euro2008

A little late coming, but here are some pictures and videos.

The UEFA Euro 2008 is a football (soccer) competition between European national teams. One team per country of the best players, and Spain won it for the first time since 1964. As you can imagine, the country is still exploding (literally...) with celebration.

This is right after the game, when everyone spilled out onto Las Ramblas. People were climbing the light poles, waving flags, taking pictures...
